Finding Calm in the Chaos: How a Lip Gloss Saved My Hardest Shift
We have all been there. It is the middle of a brutal, relentless shift. The stress is piling up, your shoulders are locked tight, and every single part of you wants to walk out the door, crawl into bed, and pull the duvet over your head.
But you cannot. You stay, you push through, and you show up because duty of care always comes first.
The Breaking Point
During a recent shift that felt completely overwhelming, I finally managed to step away for a tiny, hard-earned break. My mind was racing, my chest felt tight, and I simply could not relax. I wasn't sure what to do, so I wanted to grab my phone and ring my husband just to hear a familiar, calming voice.
As I reached in my pocket, I remembered I had Peachy Coral sitting there.
A Tiny Moment of Comfort
At that point, I realized how dry my lips had gotten. I pulled out the tube and applied it.
Instantly, the texture hugged my lips so close. In the middle of all that stress, it was an instant, grounding shift. I felt like a person. I slowly took in the peach flavor, closed my eyes, and breathed.
It might seem like little, but comfort can be in any form.
Why We Create
When I wear my hat as the Creative Director for RareAura, this exact feeling is what drives everything we do. We don't design lip glosses just to sit pretty on a vanity. We design them for the real, raw, chaotic moments of everyday life. We make them for the pockets of people who are working hard, pushing through, and giving their all to others.
Self-care isn't always an hour-long bath or a weekend spa retreat. Sometimes, self-care is a pocket-sized ritual that reminds you to breathe when you feel like breaking.
